YouTuber “Sun’s Granddaughter” previously hosted on the popular street interview channel “Haha TV” before launching her own channel, “Ordinary Girl Sun’s Granddaughter.” Her approachable image has earned her a reputation as a zero-criticism YouTuber, with 638,000 followers. At the end of July, she announced that she had obtained her first racing license and revealed plans to participate in the Asia Cross Country Rally in Thailand. After several days, she shared her honest feelings on social media yesterday (17th) about completing the 11-day high-intensity program.

On Facebook, Sun’s Granddaughter shared her experience participating in the 11-day rally survival camp in Thailand. She said that during the entire period, she was constantly sleep-deprived. Each day, she had to gather before 9 a.m., drive over 100 kilometers to the starting point, tackle 100–200 kilometers of full off-road terrain, and then drive another 100 kilometers back to the hotel. “No matter how I think about it, whoever planned this schedule must be crazy—people were even giving directions in their sleep,” she joked.
She also mentioned that on her first day in Thailand, she expected to enjoy local cuisine, but for 11 days, most of her meals came from convenience stores, and sometimes she didn’t even know where her next meal would be. “At night, we had to hold roadbook study sessions to prepare for the next day’s race, and this repeated for eight straight days.” Fortunately, because one stage was close to the Cambodia border and some vehicle repairs were needed, she got a three-day break in the middle, which finally gave her a moment to relax.

However, what truly pushed Sun’s Granddaughter to her limits was tackling 3,200 kilometers of off-road terrain in a low-chassis, two-wheel-drive electric vehicle. She described the experience as “being jolted every day until my organs felt displaced, yet still not completing the full course.” On one occasion, she even got stuck in the wilderness, and her mind flashed with scenes of a life review. The final day proved even more terrifying: she was assigned to drive, exclaiming, “I’m a clueless driver with no 360° view who can’t even park, and now I have to drive 100 kilometers to the start, then tackle off-road terrain—on the first muddy pit, I slid and almost cried!”
Although she didn’t reach the finish line within the allotted time, Sun’s Granddaughter felt fulfilled simply by safely exiting the vehicle with the official drivers and standing together at the finish arch. Since she was the only participant in the electric vehicle category, completing the course guaranteed a category win, but she stressed that finishing was far from easy. “Only after experiencing it did I truly understand the difficulty—every night back at the hotel was a car repair session, with many vehicles split in half or totaled from rollovers.” Having successfully completed the 11-day survival camp, she said it would be an unforgettable experience, and she plans to rest in bed for three consecutive days—a testament to the exhaustion and trials she endured over those 11 days.
